Welcome to Mia and Jake's blog. Jake was my first dog who "found" me in December of 2006. Sadly, he passed away July 13, 2009. I loved him dearly and miss him very much. Mia is my weimaraner who was born March 23, 2009. She's everything a weim is supposed to be - intelligent, beautiful, driven, and most of all, versatile. She's been a life changing force for me and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us.

Mia and I traveled 3 1/2 hrs to Jackson Springs for a Learn to Hunt Day with the Tarheel Weim Club. Mia isn't quite ready for NSD but she showed potential. She even honored another dog on point while she was out there.

It is always exciting to see a new puppy point their first bird! I am thrilled you are having so much fun with her and giving her the opportunity to experience birds.
