Welcome to Mia and Jake's blog. Jake was my first dog who "found" me in December of 2006. Sadly, he passed away July 13, 2009. I loved him dearly and miss him very much. Mia is my weimaraner who was born March 23, 2009. She's everything a weim is supposed to be - intelligent, beautiful, driven, and most of all, versatile. She's been a life changing force for me and I can't wait to see where this journey takes us.

Merry Christmas!

Mia was delighted to wake up and find Santa Paws had come to see her last night. She got a lot of toys but then again, she's been a very good girl this year. Here are a few pictures...more to come later:)

Awesome Weekend!

We had a wonderful weekend in Winston-Salem! Mia competed in conformation and went Winners Bitch Friday and Saturday for 2 more show points. We also competed in obedience Saturday and Sunday. Unfortunately, Mia didn't hear me call her on Saturday so we NQ'd on her recall. The video of her run will be posted later - even though we didn't qualify, it was still a beautiful run. The good news is she qualified on Sunday with a first place. That was her 3rd leg which means she now has her CD (Companion Dog - novice obedience title). This makes her:

Hopefully, her win photos with the judge will come out well and I will post them to the blog. Debbie and Sky were also in Winston-Salem and we had a wonderful time visiting with them. And - Sky went Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite today:) Congrats to Debbie and Sky.
